We are seeking a PostgreSQL Developer DBA to join our team. This role will involve leading end-to-end database migration projects, collaborating with application teams, and delivering scalable, secure, and high-performing database solutions on AWS. The ideal candidate will have experience in PostgreSQL Administration & Development, Oracle/SQL Server to PostgreSQL migrations, AWS Aurora PostgreSQL, RDS PostgreSQL, AWS SCT, AWS DMS (Full Load & CDC), PL/pgSQL development, and IaC, alongside a passion for cloud database migration, performance tuning, and enterprise data architecture.

What You’ll Do / Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end database migration projects from Oracle/SQL Server to PostgreSQL on AWS.
  • Design, build, and maintain high-performing AWS Aurora PostgreSQL and RDS PostgreSQL instances.
  • Utilize AWS Schema Conversion Tool (AWS SCT) and AWS Database Migration Service (AWS DMS) for Full Load and Change Data Capture (CDC) replication.
  • Perform schema conversions, stored procedure remediations, and complex PL/pgSQL development.
  • Conduct database performance tuning, SQL optimization, and query troubleshooting across enterprise databases.
  • Implement robust database security standards, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and compliance controls.
  • Plan and execute seamless production cutovers in collaboration with infrastructure and application engineering teams.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in PostgreSQL database administration and development.
  • Proven track record of handling heterogeneous database migrations (Oracle / SQL Server to PostgreSQL).
  • Deep hands-on experience with AWS cloud database services (AWS Aurora PostgreSQL, RDS PostgreSQL, AWS SCT, AWS DMS).
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation for database provisioning.
  • Strong leadership abilities with proven experience taking ownership of end-to-end migration initiatives.
