About the Role

Momentum Engineering, Inc. seeks a Database Engineer/Oracle Database Administrator to support a complex system requiring exacting interface, performance, and security standards. This role involves providing deep database engineering expertise across architecture, design, development, and requirements analysis for sensitive national security initiatives.

What You’ll Do / Key Responsibilities

  • Support database design, development, implementation, and information storage/retrieval activities.
  • Assist in developing databases, database parser software, and database loading software.
  • Translate requirements into usable database schemas by creating ad hoc queries, scripts, and macros.
  • Develop database structures that fit into the overall system architecture.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Must have active Top Secret/SCI clearance with NSA Full Scope Polygraph.
  • Must have at least 10 years of high-level, in-depth, dedicated database experience.
  • In-depth experience as a Database Administrator including data migration, data replication, user administration, backup and recovery, performance tuning, and issue resolution.
  • Solid understanding of databases, primarily Oracle and/or other relational and non-relational/NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
  • Experience using Oracle SQL/PLSQL and SQL in general.
  • Experience scripting with JavaScript, Bash/Linux shell scripting, Perl, and/or Python.

Preferred / Bonus Qualifications (if applicable)

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.
  • Experience with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology and/or as a member of an Agile team.
  • Experience with Cassandra and MongoDB.
