About the Role
Maximus is seeking a Database Engineer to provide subject matter proficiency and analytical skills for our USAF mission. This role supports process improvement, specialized studies, definition of requirements, and technical duties within a remote work environment.
What You’ll Do / Key Responsibilities
- Provide analytical skills to support process improvement, specialized studies, and definition of requirements.
- Perform analysis, planning, and development of requirements documents, functional models, and procedures.
- Develop database solutions in a multi-tiered environment.
- Develop and maintain automated installation scripts and functional architectures.
- Support system operations with potential travel to a site 10-20% of the time.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a CI Poly.
- Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s may substitute for 2 years).
- At least 10 years of overall experience in the functional area, including database development, software engineering, database design, and data modeling.
- 5 years’ experience working with Enterprise DB.
- 7 years of experience with PostgreSQL.
- Required Certification: DCWF Job Code: 421 Advanced.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining automated installation scripts and multi-tiered database solutions.
Preferred / Bonus Qualifications (if applicable)
- Oracle DBA Certified Professional certification.
- CISSP certification.
