What You’ll Do / Key Responsibilities

  • Perform database administration tasks including data migration, data replication, user administration, backup and recovery, performance tuning, issue investigation, issue resolution, and general administration.
  • Utilize Oracle SQL/PLSQL, and SQL in general.
  • Script and develop using JavaScript, Bash/Linux shell scripting (in general), Perl, and/or Python.
  • Apply knowledge of programming languages to include Java.
  • Adopt and adhere to best practices.
  • Effectively plan and prioritize tasking.
  • Perform high-quality work both independently and with a team in a fast-moving environment.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must have TS/SCI clearance w/ active polygraph.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline (Four (04) years of additional DB experience can be used in lieu of degree).
  • Must have at least ten (10) years of high-level, in-depth, dedicated database experience.
  • Must have in-depth experience as a Database Administrator to include proficiency in tasks such as data migration, data replication, user administration, backup and recovery, performance tuning, issue investigation, issue resolution, and general administration.
  • Must have a solid understanding of databases, primarily Oracle and/or other relational and non-relational/NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
  • Must have experience using Oracle SQL/PLSQL, and SQL in general.
  • Must have experience scripting with JavaScript, Bash/Linux shell scripting (in general), Perl, and/or Python.
  • Must have knowledge of programming languages to include Java.
  • Must be committed to adopting and adhering to best practices.
  • Must be able to effectively plan and prioritize tasking.
  • Must be capable of performing high quality work both independently, and with a team, in a fast-moving environment.

Preferred / Bonus Qualifications (if applicable)

  • Experience with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology and/or as a member of an Agile team.
  • Experience with Cassandra.
  • Experience with MongoDB.
