About the Role

Revolutional delivers advanced technology solutions to federal agencies. This hands-on role seeks a skilled SQL Developer to design, develop, and optimize secure, high-performance database solutions, focusing on cloud modernization, including migration to AWS RDS and Aurora PostgreSQL.

What You’ll Do / Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and views for enterprise applications.
  • Analyze database performance, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and implement improvements for query efficiency and scalability.
  • Support database modernization and migration initiatives, specifically transitioning to AWS RDS and Aurora PostgreSQL.
  • Implement database security best practices, ensuring compliance with federal security and governance standards.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including data dictionaries and operational runbooks.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on SQL development experience supporting enterprise applications or database environments.
  • Experience working in federal government or government contracting environments.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL development, including complex queries and performance optimization.
  • Knowledge of relational database design, data integrity, and database development best practices.

Preferred / Bonus Qualifications (if applicable)

  • Experience migrating legacy databases to AWS RDS or Aurora PostgreSQL.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, database deployment automation, and DevOps practices.
