About the Role
Google Cloud’s software engineers develop next-generation technologies for billions of users. This role focuses on critical projects within Google Cloud, specifically leveraging AlloyDB, a fully-managed, PostgreSQL-compatible database for demanding transactional workloads, pioneering GenAI and LLM solutions.
What You’ll Do / Key Responsibilities
- Write and test product or system development code using C++ or Go.
- Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
- Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations.
- Contribute to existing documentation or educational content based on product/program updates.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in software development using C++ or Go.
- 3 years of experience designing and developing infrastructure or distributed systems.
- Experience designing and developing relational databases, database internals, information retrieval, query planning and execution.
Preferred / Bonus Qualifications (if applicable)
- Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
- Experience designing/building Agentic-AI systems and applications.
