About the Role
CIBC is building a relationship-oriented bank for the modern world. As a Production Support Engineer II on the US Risk Technology team, you will support the anti-money laundering (AML) platform built using SAS Viya 3.5, which is critical for customer risk rating, transaction monitoring, and regulatory reporting.
What You’ll Do / Key Responsibilities
- Application Support: Investigate application issues and apply ITIL practices for incident, change, and problem management.
- Database Support: Write complex SQL queries and troubleshoot ETL pipelines.
- Cloud Computing: Manage Linux virtual machines and a PostgreSQL database hosted on Microsoft Azure.
- Service Continuity: Perform disaster recovery tests to ensure platform resilience.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-2 years of technical experience in application support within a bank environment.
- Experience with Linux virtual machines and CLI, writing SQL queries, and technical familiarity with cloud computing (Azure).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to prioritize work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred / Bonus Qualifications (if applicable)
- Experience with SAS Viya and relevant certifications.
- Familiarity with SAS Certified Specialist: Administration of SAS Viya or Microsoft Azure training.
