About the Role
The Senior Backend Developer provides subject matter proficiency for the USAF mission, responsible for analytical skills to support process improvement, specialized studies, and definition of requirements. This role involves engineering tasks for back-end design and development efforts.
What You’ll Do / Key Responsibilities
- Developing back-end architectures to support current and new system capabilities and integrations
- RESTful API development and modification
- Database management and data model development and optimization
- Performing engineering tasks for back-end design and development efforts
Requirements & Qualifications
- 10 years of overall experience in the functional area
- Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s may substitute for 2 years)
- 10 years of software development experience in object-oriented and scripted languages with DevSecOps, microservices, and containers tool suites
- 5 years of recent and relevant experience performing back-end web design and development
- 5 years’ experience in Python and PostgreSQL
- 10 years of relational database experience; at least 5 years PostgreSQL applied experience
Preferred / Bonus Qualifications (if applicable)
- CSSLP, CISSP, AWS Solutions Architect Professional or other relevant certifications
- Experience integrating data from unclassified to classified application deployments
- 5 years of DoD software development experience
