The PostgreSQL Database Administrator (DBA) is responsible for managing, securing, and optimizing PostgreSQL database instances deployed in cloud environments. This role ensures high availability, strong security posture, reliable performance, and alignment with enterprise compliance requirements by collaborating closely with cloud engineering, application development, cybersecurity, and DevOps teams.

What You’ll Do / Key Responsibilities

  • Database Management & Optimization: Manage, secure, and optimize PostgreSQL database instances deployed in cloud environments to ensure reliable performance and high availability.
  • Migration & Database Creation: Migrate access databases to PostgreSQL and create new databases as needed to support growing operational requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with cloud engineering, application development, cybersecurity, and DevOps teams to maintain scalable, resilient, and well-governed data platforms.
  • Compliance & Security: Ensure database configurations align with enterprise compliance requirements and maintain a strong security posture.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Experience with Data Modeling Techniques and Methodologies.
  • Experience working with Triggers & Stored Procedures.
  • Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL.
  • Experience deploying and managing databases within Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure As Code (IaC) principles and tooling.
  • U.S. Citizen eligibility requirement.
