About the Role

Sonsoft, Inc. is a USA based corporation duly organized under the laws of the Commonwealth of Georgia. As a Greenplum Database Administrator, you will be responsible for assisting with the design, implementation, and on-going support of the Greenplum Analytic Data Warehouse.

What You’ll Do / Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the design, implementation, and on-going support of the Greenplum Analytic Data Warehouse.
• Manage a multi-tenant production Greenplum environment.
• Identify and troubleshoot hardware and software-related issues.
• Apply best practices related to security, performance, and disaster recovery.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution.
• At least 7 years of experience within Information Technologies.
• Possess at least 3 years of hands-on development utilizing a PostgreSQL database.
• Possess at least 2 years of experience managing a multi-tenant production Greenplum environment.
• Deep knowledge of the interworkings of the Greenplum architecture.
• At least 2 years of experience leveraging Cloud Services (IaaS, PaaS).
• Proven experience with identifying hardware and software-related issues.
• A deep understanding of Greenplum design principals, cluster connectivity, security, and the factors that affect distributed system performance.
• Experience with Ansible or other Infrastructure as Code software.
• Expert experience with at least one of the following languages: Perl, Python, Java, Spark, or Bash.
• Knowledge of best practices related to security, performance, and disaster recovery.
• Experience with complex networking infrastructure including firewalls, VLANs, and load balancers.

Preferred / Bonus Qualifications (if applicable)

• AWS Certification is preferred.
