About the Role

Susquehanna is seeking a PostgreSQL Database Administrator to join our team, leveraging relational database expertise to ensure the stability and scalability of our enterprise database platform within a high transaction financial trading environment.

What You’ll Do / Key Responsibilities

  • Installing, configuring, and updating the growing environment of database instances.
  • Ensuring current and future instances are optimized to meet evolving business needs.
  • Partnering with development and engineering teams to expand enterprise database capabilities.
  • Developing scripting skills to automate and improve the environment.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline required.
  • 5+ years of experience with PostgreSQL required.
  • 2+ years of experience with MariaDB required.
  • Strong relational database knowledge, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
  • Thorough understanding of the Linux operating system and Linux shell scripting.
  • Thorough understanding of database backup and recovery concepts.
  • Experience with enterprise monitoring tools such as Percona and high availability architectures.

Preferred / Bonus Qualifications (if applicable)

  • Experience leveraging AI tools to streamline daily tasks and workflows.
