About the Role

TIGER LLC is seeking a Database Administrator (DBA) to support MySQL and PostgreSQL server applications. In this role, you will provide critical support across production and non-production environments—including development, test, and staging databases. This position requires a thorough understanding of complex database architectures, strict change control processes, and proactive performance tuning.

What You’ll Do / Key Responsibilities

• Database Support: Provide end-to-end support for production and non-production (development, test, and staging) databases.
• Architecture & Infrastructure: Work directly with server hardware and data center infrastructure.
• Design & Monitoring: Handle database design and monitoring to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Clustering & Optimization: Manage database clustering and optimization for high-performance trading and exchange systems.
• Backup Management: Execute and oversee periodical database backups to guarantee data integrity and disaster recovery readiness.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Database Experience: Hands-on experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Core Skills: Strong working knowledge in database design, SQL, SQL clusters, and optimization.
• System Administration: Practical experience of system administration in Linux / Unix environments.
• Data Warehousing: Experience working with Data Warehouse architectures.
• Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, resourcefulness, and attention to detail.
• Communication: Good communication skills in English (written, oral).

• Preference for raw talent over rigid proficiency requirements.
